Tasting Notes

The color of freshly sliced beets, this wine releases aromas of cherry, roasted figs and sweet tobacco. Silky in texture, elegant tannin and balanced acids, this varietal expresses dark plums, red berries surrounded by herbaceous notes. A savory start and perfectly peppered palate leads you to a smooth finish

Vineyard Designation

Sams Valley Vineyard

Vineyard Notes

Wet Spring with late bud break and bloom, quality of set was excellent and high yielding. Bird pressure - average and very little disease pressure. Verasion was not until September which per the wet spring followed into a late harvest. The fall remained warm which gave the fruit time to ripen with only a few days of rain. We picked later then usual waiting for the fruit to become balanced.
